This is your opportunity to support awareness of veteran health and help people who are living with PTSD.
Voices of Veterans seeks to generate meaningful, ongoing positive change in the lives of Australian veterans. This aspiration is far larger than a single work of art or art workshop. It encapsulates years of effort and rely's on the financial contribution of many individuals and organisations.
Reaching into Australian communities where veterans feel isolated and unheard will take time, effort and money.
Voices of Veterans sponsors will directly enable the stories collected and artworks created to be beautifully printed, professionally framed, shipped, hung and exhibited around Australia. Then, sponsors will help Mike continue to work and collect stories and run veteran art workshops. Sponsor funding will hire venues, pay for materials. They will also support awareness to be raised through a printed art exhibition catalogue, social media and communications to support project activity. This will create widespread reach and deepen engagement.
Sponsors and project partners are expected to help support delivery and drive promotion of activities.
Our collaborations aim to:
- Maximise attendance to the art exhibitions and local events by Mike Armstrong
- Encourage veteran participation in art education workshop events by Mike Armstrong
- Promote donations to build the Voices of Veterans Fund
Collaborations will be co-designed to help deliver project activities that support veteran health.
If you're touched by veteran health, affected by PTSD or is passionate about giving, then please read the information in the document on this page and contact us.
This video is a behind the scenes look into the heart of the Voices of Veterans project. We observe the experience of Mick Cook as he works with Mike Armstrong to explore and express his experiences of living with a mental illness. This video was created by and in collaboration with veteran videographer, Kris Kerehona.
